Multicultural March
March 1 – March 31
Multicultural March is a month-long celebration of diversity and a fundraiser for the Moab Valley Multicultural Center. A fundraising goal is set on March 1st and the we get creative trying to meet it all month long! Participating businesses and the Moab Valley Multicultural Center provide fun events, activities, and youth outreach throughout March.
Day of the Dead Festival
The last Sunday of October or the first Sunday of November
The Day of the Dead Festival or Festival del Día de Muertos is a deeply meaningful celebration of life that honors the spirits of loved ones who have passed away. Per some people’s cultural beliefs, it is when those spirits return to earth to visit the living. The Moab Valley Multicultural Center's festival falls on the Sunday closest to the actual holiday (Nov. 1 and 2) and features brightly decorated altars as well as children's activities, traditional Latin food, live mariachi, and folk art galore.
